As the winter weather hopefully fades away and the sight of bulbs appearing in the garden I always look forward to Spring, my favourite time of the year.

The months of January and February were sad for us as we lost two of our much loved pets, Cassie our German Shepherd dog and Phoebe our beautiful little cat, who were both elderly. You know it will happen one day but it doesn't make it any easier.

We still have Sam our Border Collie, who is now 10 months old and is making an amazing dog, and the two ponies, and we have now adopted three cats from Cats Protection who all get on really well. Meal times are full on! Occasional hissing and scratching but that's Carole for you.

We have just returned from a brilliant Dancing holiday at the Norbreck Castle, Blackpool which followed the Torquay holiday earlier in the month. We enjoy these breaks very much and meet such great people. Carole taught the Washington Tango and Star Ruby Rumba in the morning dances which everyone enjoyed. Of course there were three new dances out last weekend with more to follow in a couple of weeks.

The new CD which will be titled "The Rose", is well underway and set for Easter release. 16 tracks completed and four more remaining which we will finish this week.

So as usual, it's all go and no time to get bored at Cotton Lane Farm.
